Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has anyone done a handbrake switchout on a 996? . I have downloaded some pretty decent instructions and I have removed the center console before so I should be OK. I will post photos when done for those who are interested. Now I see why the handbrake was $400... I can't wait to get rid of....

POST 2Original post

Why would you want to get rid of those beauties? I would have done that the first week of ownership.

POST 3Original post

whew...glad you got some replacements. wood in a porsche is a definite no-no IMO.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

flash, I hear ya. gota911, I got the car in June. I would have done it sooner but in Arizona the temperature dosent drop below 150 until October

POST 5Original post

POST 6Original post
