Does anyone have any recent experience importing a USA-model 996 to Canada? If so, do you have any tips or things to look out for? My friend will most likely be purchasing an out-of-warranty example, so the thread i read about Warranty-issues for USA cars in Canada is less of a concern to us. TIA
I suggest you do a search in the Canada forum: https://rennlist.com/forums/rennlist-canada-98/ Most of us have US cars that we imported into Canada. It's an easy process and the warranty must be honoured by the dealers.
There is an excellent how-to thread on this in the Canada forum. Pop over there and do a search. They talk about the topic a lot, but one guy wrote a long, detailed piece recently. The warranty issue has also been discussed at length, right down to which dealers are best to do business with. Let your fingers do the walking...
