I have a simple question...the air box has a vertical goose neck that is under the back spoiler/ grill. Should I be concerned about water entering the box when I wash the car? Thanks

I don't think so. With the spoiler up, in the rain, water can get in there quite easily. I believe the good engineers at Porsche anticipated that and put some mechanism in ir box to drain the water out. Put another way, I routinely get a little water down there and haven't had anything bad happen.

there is a small drain hole on the bottom of the neck before it goes into the filter housing

no don't worry. the air box has like a sump designed at the bottom with a couple of drain holes to let water out.
