Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have been getting some grief from Tim for not showing up as often and....well, I have something to confess. Yes, it's another car that has come into my life Now, now don't take this the wrong way..it will never take the place of by beloved 996 but sometimes a man has to do what a man has to do. And if your not man enough to handle this Tim....Well you're just going to have to get use to the idea that this is the way it is. So, pull your head out and look below at my new vintage racer. 71 Alfa Romeo GTAM replica. I have wanted one of these for a long time and this one came available recently. Will kill bugs faster than my current racer after we get a motor built for it. Another dream fulfilled

Steve - WOW, that is AWESOME looking. VERY nice, contrats! You sound like a kid at Christmas! I do have one question though..... why did you get a RED one?????

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Uh...it was the only color they had? Thanks

POST 4Original post

POST 5Original post

I'm the Timing Director for the Alfa Romeo Club of SoCal. I'm always amazed at how those cars perform out on the track. So many of the fully prepped Alfa race cars are so beautifully done. Yours is another fine example.

POST 6Original post

That is a sweet ride, I l would love to have a car like that.

POST 7Original post

That's awesome! As a former AROC member, I have drooled over many a GTV, but never had the time/place to own one. Could you post a few more pics? Maybe some interior shots? Congratulations!

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks everyone! I don't even have the car yet but should get it over the weekend. Don't have a lot of pics but here is one in full racing stickers. I will need to build an engine for it as the blown one is out of the car. So if anyone knows of a good Alfa 2 liter race motor let me know.

POST 9Original post

Great car. One of the best looking ever. We were at the historic races at Road America this weekend where there were so many beautiful cars you got bored after awhile. 917s, 962s, R8s, Bentley race cars, F1 cars, Indy cars, cup cars, etc. etc. My favorite of the weekend was a cute little street GTA in the same color as yours. Jim (former Alfa owner)

POST 10Original post

Nice ride. I had a 74 GTV for a couple of years--even drove it to NYC from LA one of the funnest cars I ever owned. I still regret selling it.

POST 11Original post

That has to be so fun, racing full throttle in those 2 liter beasts........

POST 12Original post

I'll bet you would, especially because it has a manual tranny!
