Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I drove to Wheel Enhancements this morning so they can do something about my manky 18" "High Gloss" wheels. They've put a set of 17" loaners on the car so I can get around while they work their magic, and it's quite a shock to see how anaemic the wheels look! Photos to follow tonight...

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Apologies for the lousy 17" photo. The 18" photo was at the Valley of Fire in UT.

POST 5Original post

Hey.....those are my winter wheels!!! Unfortunately you are correct they are ugly on the car....

POST 6Original post

Sorry Ray, but I just call 'em like I see 'em!

POST 7Original post

i just bought 17" 10 spokes for winter wheels- think they look good.

POST 8Original post

Nooooooooooooo! 17" wheels make your car look like it has truck tires! My 996 came with 17s, and I couldn't wait to get them changed out

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The handling is interesting too: I've not gone looking for the limits, but the handling seems more "delicate" somehow.

POST 10Original post

I have 17" but will probably upgrade to 18 sometime. Not too big of an issue for me. I do a lot of driving and long distance stuff, so I see the benefits of the 17s. The are more comfortable, have less road noise, lighter, cheaper tires, take road imperfections a little better mid-turn. They probably have a slightly lower over grip level than 18's, but really not much at all, but of course they don't look nearly as good.

POST 11Original post

I decided to go with 13" wheels. I REALLY like the look! What do you guys think?

POST 14Original post

Glad I wasnt drinking anything, I would of had to buy a new computer after I spewed liquid down my Mac's exhaust vents. Good one!

POST 15Original post

har-har I need to get a set of winter wheels and the 17's look like just the ticket - cheaper all around, and if they get beat I won't feel bad! They don't look *that* bad.

POST 16Original post

Tim, showing your car with a fat chick on the hood and 13" wheels is no way to sell it....

POST 17Original post

OK, if the 13" wheels don't work for everyone, how about this.... side pipes! Cool! I am also thinking of adding a hood scoop on the front deck lid! Do you think that would be too much?

POST 19Original post

Dude! You seriously need blue neon lights under the car And some of those 'chesty' chrome 'ladies' on the rear deck lid instead of the Carerra logo Now that would be bitchin'
