Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, I have Euro 996 with standard suspension. I am going to install PSS9. What OEM parts I need to reuse? upper strut thrust washer? bumstops? I would appreciate any input.

POST 2Original post

I posted a DIY which you should look at. https://rennlist.com/forums/diy-996-1998-2003/303054-996-c2-pss9-install-how-to-diy.html IIRC in the front you re-use everything EXCEPT the spring, damper, and the top nut that secures everything. In the rear re-use everything except the spring, damper, and the large plastic piece which houses a rubber bumper, as well as the bumper itself. The last two can be re-used, in fact, but are not necessary and no longer serve a useful purpose with the smaller diameter PSS9 springs. Good luck.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Do you reuse the old bumpstops? Front & rear?

POST 4Original post

I don't think you can reuse the front bump stops. The diameter of the shaft is way bigger on the PSS9

POST 5Original post

I'm pretty sure the shaft diameter is the same as stock and that you do re-use them, F&R. That's what I did, anyway.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
