Somewhere during last weekend's VIR event I got a massive crack in my windshield, so a new one is going in tomorrow. So, my dumb question is: how do I know if I have a rain sensor or not? FWIW I don't have the car with me, and I don't recall seeing or using it before. TIA.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Where the mirror is mounted to the windshield, you should see a round eye/lens in the center of the mount. Not the clearest pic, but you get the idea.
Thanks for the response and pic. I also just figured out that if my mirror has a dimmer switch then it's not auto-dimming and hence no rain sensors.
Porsches don't need no stinking rain sensing wipers! The process is simple, you see water on your windshield, you activate the wipers!

You get rain in NC?
Step 1) Turn on car Step 2) Turn on wipers Step 3) Spit on windshield The rest is history.
wipers? If I'm doing at least 45mph I don't turn them on at all. The rake of the windshield just plows the water right off like one of those vacums at a car wash.
