Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Drove my 996 to a buddy's house yesterday for a side-by-side pic with his 993. Both are silver with gray interior. Both have aero kits. Both are lowered. Just different models.

POST 2Original post

Nice!! but now my keyboard is covered with drool....

POST 3Original post

wow! from that pic the 996 looks so much longer than the 993

POST 4Original post

They look great! Got any more pics of them together???

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry... He only took a couple of pictures. I'll remember to bring my own camera next time.

POST 7Original post

Shows the awesome progression of the 911. Would be a tough choice between the two!

POST 8Original post

If you could get a silver 997 to join the party next time that would be something to see. Nice pics.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know there's a silver 996 C4S on the end of his street, but he didn't want to come out and play.

POST 11Original post

Very nice picture and yes, my 996 next to my 964 makes it look very small. I really like the early Aero I cars

POST 13Original post

Nice shot! Beautiful cars. Thank you for sharing!

POST 14Original post

Great pic - the 996 looks much more modern, no? I can see why Porsche owners struggle between the more modern, faster 996 and the classic 993. Everyone needs two.

POST 15Original post

I agree. That picture makes the 993 windshield looks about as upright as a pickup truck. The 993 is a beautiful car, but sitting next to that 996 it really shows it's age.

POST 16Original post

The 911 is still such a classic design that I think they both look great. I can certainly see both sides of the 993/996 is better thing. Great pics!

POST 17Original post

I really like both cars, they look great. But seriously, the wheels on the 993 look better to me...

POST 18Original post

That's why that pic is so great - same wheels, same color, similar wing. I don't know that I've ever seen a bitter pic of the two generations side by side.

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Got together with my 993 buddy for some more pics today...

POST 24Original post

I always wanted the 993, but my long legs fit in the 996 so much better. Had to go with the 996, but I'm not disappointed at all.
