Just returned from the dealer with my airbag light still lit. They told me it was a hard code and that they code not shut it off with their software. The light originally came on when I had a dead battery and gave it a charge with my jump pack. The dealer asked if I had reversed the terminals when I gave it a jump and of course I am always careful about getting the polarity correct so the answer was "no". The dealer said they will have to diagnose the problem and that it may be in the brain. They did not tell me what the hard code was but it obviously didn't tell them much or they were playing dump so that they could get me to pay the diagnosis hours. Anyone else had a problem similar to this one??

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.
