Hi all. I plan to wash my car with a hose and was wondering how to go about washing the back or trunk lid? It looks to me like water will enter the air box or get the auxillary fan wet if I was to wash the trunk lid. Is this safe? Are there any precautions that need to be done? TIA!

Yes it's safe.
the airbox has many holes in the bottom of it for water to drain our. you can open the engine and blast as much water as you feel you need in there with no problems. list of potential problems is a squeal from the belt and or pulley if they are nearing the replacement point, and any part that is not in tip top shape might wave its hands in the air for you... GL and take time to rince the microfiber mitt in a rinse bucket before putting it in the wash bucket - often! and post pics of the DIY !!

Your car looks very nice, especially after the wash.
It is beautiful. I like the shiney. Mine needs a detail so much. Is it April yet?
Missed a spot!! Redo
Thanks for the compliments, guys!
How come we don't take many pictures when the cars are dirty. Oh yah. I wouldn't take it for granted that the drains will take care of you and dump a lot of water in there. Just sprinkling works fine. After washing you'll be better off popping the hood and wiping up water in there. The engine lid open also gets water in the lid to drain that doesn't seem to want to drain through drain holes. I touch up the area in there with eagle 1 spray on carnuba on a stained shami. Makes the water roll off easier in the low wind areas
Beautiful car!
