Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Wanted to pull the spare tire and put away the toolkit and jack. I never removed the cover to the spare when I bought the car. The spare, toolkit and jack were there so no problem. What is going on here? And how do I remove the spare?

POST 3Original post

Cool idea for a sub, even if a little over the top and somewhat useless... (do you really need your frunk to rattle? - I guess a hip hop lover owned the car before you!!!). I'm not sure how carefully I would remove it, but to each his own... I'd chuck that thing...

Thanks 😂 I removed the wing nuts and the bracket but I think the center factory bolt is still in place. Maybe just pry the front off, carefully?

Exactly what I was thinking. Even though low frequencies cut through barriers, this would be a ridiculous attempt at getting sub-bass into the cabin. It's a better idea to create a sub-box behind the rear seats. Oh well.

POST 6Original post

How does the sub sound? I have a JL sub and amp I plan to put into my car. I considered putting it in the frunk just to see how it sounds. I doubt Ill put it in there for a couple of reasons, one of which is that I assumed Id have to cut a hole from the frunk to the cabin. And I dont want to do that.

The car has an aftermarket alpine head unit. Since its not a priority I havent really messed around with the stereo. Honestly it sounds mediocre at best and I couldnt tell anything was there. Thats why I was surprised

Lol, the tiny tube from the sub might not have been the best approach. Those stealth box options from JL might be a lot better.
