Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Need to get at the tranverse re-enforcing bar under the rear carpet where it covers the rear seats under the removeable cushions. Everything seems pretty tight and I don"t want to either damage the carpet or fasteners. I am following Porsche TSB 010929 regarding rear seat well noise. Anyone BTDT? Thanks Tom

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Brad, Thanks to you, I fouund the mentioned TSB. The 'heel plate" carpet is really jammed under the side panel which seems to be the same one which has the speaker in it, I don't know whether to take off the side panel or just try to pull the heel plate carpet out from under it. I can't see how to get the side panel off and don't want to damage anything. Any thoughts? Thanks Tom

POST 4Original post

it shound come out from the rear quarter panels easily. Just pry them up enough to pull the carpets out.

POST 5Original post

pull the rear trim panels with the speakers first then the seat backs then the carpet comes right out
