Hi, Seems folks introduce themselves here so here goes, Been lurking here for just a couple of weeks all leading up to my purchase of an '03 996 last week. Now that I own wanted to thank you all for some of the insites I have received. Yes some posts have scared me but not away, others have entertained me and had me lol. It's all good. My new beauty is black on black, 18inch carrera wheels, Xeon and PSM. Was a local car here in Vancouver and clearly well taken care of. Only 29,00KM to boot with a year or so left on warranty. Is going to my daily driver (for now) and have purchased the roof transport system. Looks pretty good, see how it is after I install it. I ride '04 Specialized Stumpjumper so now I (and the bike) will be getting to the trail heads here on the west coast in style. Wanted to thank my buddy (J) here too who walked me through the purchase. Was good to have someone with some knowlege and the good will to help. He did after all lead me to this forum. Cheers all, hope I wont have to come to you for help for a while. Geoff

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Congrats on the ride, Here comes the mods Pics please I like pictures
Congratulations! Sweet rides, both of them! Post some pictures of your car with and without the bike. I want to see how it looks with the rack on. I have a full carbon Fuel and been thinking about getting a rack for my 996. Is it a pain to put on and take off? I wouldnt want to have it on all the time.
Congratulations and welcome! We all like pics here...
What...no Tim?
Thanks, have not yet installed the rack nor do I have any decent pics yet, one cheesy cel phone pic so far. Will for sure let you know how it goes, have always been iffy about transporting the Stumpy no matter the rack. Looks easy enough to install and I dont want to leave it on all the time either, the lines on these cars just so perfect. The carbon fuel is too cool. Between car mags and bike mags is a wonder I could aford the toys for real.
Congrats that is one SWEET LOOKING automo..... wait a sec, there's NO PICS!!
One pic so far..... cel phone camera cloudy here today. Will work on getting some much better ones. Thanks all for the welcome.
congrats... enjoy the ride.......and uh.......more pics... better ones so we can appreciate it also
Welcome and Congrats on getting the car. Nice intro.... crappy pic! However, it IS a pic, so it does qualify for fulfilling the requirement. However, we DO expect to see better pics in the NEAR future! Guys, just because you have recently completed "Newbie Harassment 101" does not mean you are totally qualified to get the results we are looking for. I think the results obtained here speak for themselves. It takes great skill and tact to induce the Newbies to post a decent set of pics, skills that I have honed over the past couple of years. Next time you might want to remember this effective and subtle phrase to gently coax the Newbie into posting some good pics: Hey Newbie, WTF! Do you think you are on a Bimmer Board! Come on, post the &*(%$#@! Pics! See how smoothly that rolls off the tongue (keyboard)? Subtle but effective!
Nice...Very nice
i think there needs to be an "Official" Newbie intro class......Tim.... kick it off....... and we need to show angle skills and what is expected of Newbies........
Congrats on your car! Vancouver is a great place for P-cars...lots of fun twisty roads. I was there last week and I couldn't Porsches were out in town; I wish more of local P-car brothers would keep out during the cold months. Post more pics soon!
Tim- Did you go to a military school?
No, I attended "diplomacy school!" Obviously, my grades weren't that great.
Welcome, GNR996, and Congratulations on the car!
