Has anyone been following the prices of 996 turbos? I was looking for a 928 GTS of which there are very few and got sidetracked on 996TT. I can't really understand the prices. mid 50s to 70 will buy what appears to be very nice examples, with heavy options not jacking the price up considerably. Is there something I don't know?????

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

997 Turbo is out. Great time now to pick up a used 996 TT. And...the engines are bullet proof. Go for a stage 2 or 3 and you can make em sick fast. I'm waiting for a good deal on a 996 Turbo Convertible. Gonna be a while (still trading at the 100K point) since these cars were only launched in 2004. Will look into it again next Winter
I'm waiting on the TT Cabrio prices to drop as well, seems we have the same game plan.
I have been looking at 01-02 TTs for awhile now and have realized to find a solid, well maintained, 1 or 2 owner(25-35000 miles) car you will pay around $59-65,000+. There are quite a few TTs out there in the low 50s but so far everyone I have looked at has some issues. Depends on how picky you are and how much you want to put into it after you buy it. Good luck. I may reconsider finding a very low mileage C4S with CPO instead of the TT.
