Oh yea. These engines will spin right through 7200 with ease. The only thing that stops mine from hitting probably 8,000 is my rev limiter (which I've hit at the track a few times when not paying attention to the quiet motor with my helmet on - can barely hear it).

That's one good reason to get an aftermarket or louder exhaust, it's hard to hear over other vehicles in stock form.

Mine is nice and loud with aftermarket exhaust. Does yours have an aftermarket chip? My tiptronic does not hit the rev limiter. It pulls away nice and loud but not like the cats are gutted. Should they be?
