Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thinking about these in 18" for my 996. Would love to see how they look on a 996 anyone have a picture or photoshop skills? 997 Sport Design Thanks in advance. -Paul

POST 2Original post

996newport has them in Black. They look pretty sweet.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah, I saw those, was hoping to see how silver wheels looked.

POST 4Original post

there is a link on the page to see them on a 997. Why do you think they would look significantly different on a 996?

POST 5Original post

I saw a black 996 with these wheels yesterday in a parking lot at the grocery store. I would have taken a photo with the cell phone if this post came out sooner. It looked really good. The look gave the car a bit of an updated look and did not look out of place on the car. I imagine they would look great on a silver car as well.

POST 6Original post

I've got silver on my '02 cab. I have one pic (pre PSS9's, TT rear bumper, GT3 sways, etc....) I wasn't sold on them until the ride height was dropped, since then I think they really suit the car. Stan

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sweeet.... thanks. I think that I am sold on the 997 style... it was between the 997 Sport Designs and the 996 Sport Designs.

POST 8Original post

Keep in mind 997 Sport Designs are 11" rears, and the front 8's have different offsets as well. The front 997 sport designs will sit 5mm further inside the wheel well than the 996 version. The rear 11" 997 sport designs will sit 11mm further out of the wheel well than 996 10" SD's.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the offset warning but since they come in the follow offsets I don't think the NB 996 fitments will be any issue. Sizes 18x8 et50mm, 18x10 65mm or 19x8 et57mm, 19x11 et67mm. I plan to use the 18" versions and those are exactly the same as 996 18 OEM offsets.

POST 10Original post

They make those in 18" sizes? What is the OEM application for them with those offsets? I don't see those listed anywhere in 18" on the PCNA site.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Definitely not OEM, after market via www.wheeldynamics.net . I much prefer the 996 specific offsets and 18" size over the 19" varieties in 997 or 987 offsets.

POST 12Original post

I would be wary of aftermarket knock-offs that sell for half or a third of OEM wheels. Usually, these wheels are very, very heavy .....and may possibly have other disadvantages as well.......
