Pulled out of my garage this morning (backwards) and cut the wheel to the left to line up with my driveway. As I did, the right front wheel seemed to "buck" once or twice. This was accompanied by a "bumping" noise. (Sorry about the rather pathetic attempts at description.) Car was fine during a 5-mile drive. Parked the car for one-half hour. Backed out of parking space, cut the wheel the same way and got the same noise/sensation, only this time it happened four or five times. Drove home with no problems. Once home, I could not replicate the possible problem. I backed-up repeatedly, cutting the wheel this way and that. No issues! Does anyone know what, if anything might be wrong? I'm especially concerned because I am scheduled to travel to Virginia next week and was thinking of driving the P-car. Thanks in advance for the help.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Do you by any chance have a C4 or C4S?
I ask the same. Brake pads stick and make a "bump" sometimes after condensation build-up but usually only once after they free. Wheel bearings click and usually in a consistent frequency. Sounds like you have a C4 and the diffential is trying to lock the wheel causing a momentary skidding of the tire possibly? If this is the case, you need a tech to rule out the cause.
