Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello guys, I am wondering of anyone knows the approximate top speed for each gear for 02 and up 996? For example, 1st gear up to 30mph, 2nd up to 70, and so forth. This is of course referring to manual transmission Thanks

POST 2Original post

According to the 2002 Owner's Manual, Page 251: First gear @ 7200RPM 39 MPH Second gear @ 7200RPM 69 MPH Third gear @ 7200 RPM 100 MPH Fourth gear @ 7200 RPM 126 MPH Fifth gear @ 7200 RPM 150 MPH Sixth gear @ 7200 RPM 184 MPH Values interpolated in kilometers and converted to miles. Cheers Bill
