Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, since I received no reply to my first post.....lets try this. Who has a 996 with a STOCK first aid kit and where is it mounted? Did ANY 996 come with one? Thanks all!

POST 2Original post

I have one for my 1997 Boxster that I got years ago. You had to buy it as a part from Germany back then as it is not required in the US. Goes in the front trunk.

POST 3Original post

Didn't get one with the car and hence do not have a kit in the car

POST 4Original post

They are an option? I had no clue. I picked one up at West Marine.

POST 5Original post

I can't quite make it out...are those green packages condoms? I guess in a 911 that makes sense!

POST 6Original post

My 2001 nor my 2004 came with a first aid kit.

POST 7Original post

A first aid kit came with my European Delivery BMW. (I think it's required in Germany along with a warning triangle.) They do not come with US delivery cars although they are occasionally offered online. Frankly the package of band aids and gauze could be had for about $20 at a local drug store. For utliitarian purposes it isn't worth knocking yourself out but if you feel the need to make the p-car more "authentic" I undertand although I don't agree.

POST 8Original post

This brought back a memory from shopping for something else. Suncoast offers a first aid kit with this notation: This is a new OEM First Aid Kit from Porsche. These are standard items for the European cars. These are a must for the Autobahn, but are cool to have here in the U.S.. List price is $52.50. Each kit comes with assorted bandages, gauze, scissors, first aid blanket, and many other necessary pieces. It does not look the same as what you pictured, but for some reason I cannot paste the picture. The web page is at http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/me...Code=POTE996IN I couldn't quite see paying $45 for a pretty simple first aid kit. I bought one at Target. It fits rather nicely to the side of the spare tire.

POST 9Original post

I used to carry one with me on my sportbikes......good idea to have one in ANY car, though. Good post!

POST 10Original post

I carry one at all times, but it's from Target or something. It has everything except the Porsche safety blanket. Damn, now I may have to get one.

POST 11Original post
