Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just bought a 1999 996 that has been prepared for and raced in PCA C class, the engine is completely stock along with the transmission. I have heard that the transimission gets quite hot during an endurance race and becomes a little more difficult to shift. What would be the best way to resolve this problem and increase the life of the tranny.

POST 2Original post

Are transmission coolers allowed in your class?

POST 4Original post

GT3 trans cooler and ad the 3rd center radiator for the motor.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The third radiator has already been added, I will look into adding a GT3 tranny cooler, thank.

Contact JimB on this forum. He succesfully club races a 996 and has a wealth of information on this platform. Also, try asking this same question in the racing/DE forum. -KJ
