My local Porsche dealer quoted me $1,100 for two new remote heads, including programming. Heh. No. I purchased the heads from Suncoast for $319, moved the key from the old remotes to the new remotes, and paid $77.50 for a half-hour of labor to have the new remotes paired with my car, for a total cost of $396.50. This is still a crap ton of money, but spending $400 instead of $1,100 takes some of the sting out. It's nice to have a car that locks again...

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

And how did you paired the remotes with your car? Thought you need the special Porsche tool (PIWIW or Durametric?) to do the programming?
Well played, 5CHN3LL.
Cost me about $200 for a new head and programming at the porsche dealer here in Tokyo. Not a bad deal from porsche I guess.
