I'm missing one of the bolts that attaches the muffler mounting bracket to the bottom of the motor. I'm too lazy to put my car up on the lift, pull one of the bolts and measure size and thread. I guess I will if I need to. Is there any type of fastener legend, or similar out there? The service manual I have doesn't specify fasteners. Did Porsche have a fastener supplier? Can I get this bolt at the local hardware store, or do I need to go to the dealer? If anyone knows the bolt size and thread I would appreciate it. Kyle

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Any hardware auto parts store. Just jack up one rear corner and get un-lazy! M8x25 I think...17fp http://www.theknowledgegruppe.com/in...96-automobile/
Thanks for the link. And the advice. I guess I'll grab a beer and the jack and get on my back. So much for wanting to be lazy. For what it's worth, I'm drinking a beer from the Kona Brewing Company! That should make the islander happy.
download the porsche parts catalog called PET. Its free and it displays bolt thread size (not pitch) and length.
