Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am looking for recommendations for a good (inexpensive) scanner. Any suggestions? TIA, - Cam

POST 2Original post

Best...PST2...Porsche system for about $8K (and an annual license)....Now let's get real...What do you want to do? Log data or clear codes? For logging: autoengenuity http://www.autoenginuity.com/products.html for codes: http://www.durametric.com/ for Palm: http://www.pocketlogger.com/?pid=help

POST 3Original post

Go to Autozone, get the one that comes with the disk with the code reader software on it. This is assuming you are purchasing it to read and delete codes only.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I guess I am just wanting it to read & clear codes. What data would I be logging? Is this a handheld unit or does it require a laptop?

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
