Over on another thread I asked: 1. What is switch number 1 for? 2. The number two plastic piece, what should the orientation of it be? It can swivel. Answers: Switch #1 tells the computer when you move the gearshift to MANUAL mode. This switch is only on the Tiptronic cars. Plastic piece #2 needs to have the small end pointing forward. All the pics I found never say, but if you don't get it right it won't shift into manual mode.
