Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

We're leaving Germany, current temperature, 42F, for Miami, FL, forecasted temperature on date of arrival 88F where we'll be renting a Chrysler Sebring convertible and we'll spend 12 days driving around the Sunshine State.. "So what!" you ask? "What does this have to do with the Porsche of Dr. Ferdinand?" you say. Here's the answer. When we get back from Florida we're taking the 996 cabrio down to Provence/Cte d'Azur, France... Just got the Michelin map today(number 340); 1/175000 scale. Yep, we're gonna do Toulon, St. Tropez, Cannes, Monaco. I hear the eating there is rather good and the back roads very twisted... I *am* a rather happy person right now...

POST 3Original post

Go away............. Ok so I am jealous. Have a safe trip and a FUN one

POST 5Original post

I'd skip the Florida portion and head staright for the south of France. Enjoy! Stan

POST 6Original post

Dang. I have been working close to 100 hours per week for over a month. At least someone is having some fun because it sure as hell ain't me. enjoy your trip is is awfully beautiful where you're headed.

stanm5: *I'd skip the Florida portion and head staright for the south of France. * Say What? It's only about 3C warmer in Cannes now than it is in Germany. Cold; effing Cold for April. Nah, gimme Florida in a drop-top, Hawaiian Shirt, Shades, Best of Sinatra Reprise Sessions or The Beach Boys Greatest Hits; the wife doing the driving while I lounge about in the passenger seat watching the scenery roll by. We'll save the Cte d'Azur for early May when the spring flowers are in full bloom.

POST 8Original post

Are you from Hamburg? I get there a couple times a year! Any rain?!?

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

mitch236: *Are you from Hamburg? I get there a couple times a year! Any rain?!?* Nah, Hamburg is up north from here. We live in the state of Hessen. Hamburg is where The Beatles played before they got famous and Hamburg is famous for the Saint Pauli Red Light District (which is where The Beatles played) so tell me, are you a fan of The Beatles or The Red Light District? LOL! And yes, if it's Deutschland, it rains all the time...

POST 10Original post

If you ever get tired driving the old Chrysler in your twelve days, you could always get a p-car for a day or two. Down in Miami, there are a bunch a places where you can rent them. Have fun on both trips and don't forget to take pictures!!

POST 11Original post

St. Pauli for me!!! And oh yea, the Beatles are cool too....

POST 12Original post

Stilton old boy, not quite the same trip but I am on a 1500 km round trip from Prague to Warsaw next week. The wife wants me to take the plane but I da boss Good thing is I can go fast as I want as the max fine in czech is about $60 for speeding and no points as I am on a foreign licence. I usually get upto speeds of 230-240km/h on the straight bits of the motorways. Eastern europe rocks in comparison with the over regulated west.

POST 13Original post

Stilton; "Fruits De Mer" in the south of France and great golfing as well, if you indulge in that sport. The beach at Nice sucks compared to Florida and a lot of US beachs if you're a surfer or even like to hang in the water. The girl watching is better (think topless) but the beaches are made up of rocks and over-regulated and you have to pay for everything. Right now it's raining in Southern California so you never can tell.......Monaco is full of a lot of stuffy very rich people. I would see it and move right on through......Bon Chance! Care4era; I hope you are Czech because then you can read the road signs and figure out where you are in the republic! As a couple of dumb Americans we had no clues! It was actually very funny, so we ended up with a driver to Karlovy Vary........what a beautiful place! And there is actually good golfing in the Czech Republic ;>)

POST 14Original post

Stilton's original post reminds me of the fact that in Europe many/most people have 6 weeks of vacation and aren't shy of using it. Seems they have a better work/life balance. All my Dutch relatives are super happy people!! Have a great set of trips!!

POST 15Original post

"Care4era; I hope you are Czech because then you can read the road signs " Nope British, but i have done this trip so many times I can do it with my eyes closed...err so to speak. "Europe many/most people have 6 weeks of vacation and " Not if you are a self emlpoyed workaholic, does not matter where you live then

POST 16Original post

Stilton- You lucky dog! Go to Nice/Cannes/Monaco for the sights (cars and girls). Go in the back country for the twisties. Yeah! You may even run into some pretty exotic cars having fun there as well. Plus some of the vistas are gorgeous. All in all, you'll have a blast, I'm sure. I lived in the south of France for many years but wasn't fortunate enough to have a p-car then... I'll be there this summer but the p-car will stay here (NoVA).

POST 17Original post

Stilton... In Monaco check out Pulcinella's Restaurant (17 rue du Portier, see Suzie or Carlo), Lorenzo Restaurant (Ave Princess Grace, see Mr.Lorenzo) and McCarthy's Irish Pub (7 rue du Portier, see Dave or Adrian). Send the folks regards from the San Diego pilots...
