So it's looking like I'll be taking possession of this wee gem in the next couple weeks.....

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

CONGRATS!!
Addictions are a bitch, huh? Congrats, Bash, looks like you picked a winner!
Sweet! Is it a roller, how much$$?
Quotes source post: 16240833
No, its not a roller. I thought about it long and hard. Plan is it will still get the FSI treatment. JR always says do you love the car?. Well, I cant say 100% that Id be in love with a C2 and that Id keep it for life. Ive always loved the C4S and its def a car Id love to keep forever. And having a car I can drive until it goes under the knife makes more sense (and keeps the wife happier) than a roller sitting in my garage for a year. Also, sending a working engine to FSI may be more cost effective than sending a grenaded one. Amortized over the lifetime of the car, the initial extra cost is negligible. Bill, lets just say Im very happy with the deal. 😜

Bash glad to see you getting back into the game.
Congratulations!
Oooohhh! A 4S you are going to love that! Congrats.
Congrats! Welcome back to the club.
Welcome back. Now don’t stray again! Ha!
Very nice, I'm sure you'll have fun looking for things to tinker with while waiting for the FSI treatment.
Congrats!...there is nothing like a 996 C4S rear end. 😁
That didn't take long
Congrats! C4S has to be one of the best looking bodies ever made.
Great, congrats!
Look forward to working with you :-)

Apologies.

Steve, I've been a RL member for a while. This is my 2nd 911. I sold my 99 aero (my avatar pic) 6 months ago when we moved from LA to SF. Not my first intro post. I've been communicating with Jake re securing a build spot offline. No doucheyness from JR. He has been very upfront so far, and we are just getting started.

Thanks... you guys obviously had some conversations before hand. Sorry for the comment, I misinterpreted it.
Wow.. Never underestimate the entitled opinion of the modern human. Damn, the whole I thought I was just being cordial.
I simply interpreted your comments to be that you were implying that since he bought a 996 he would be requiring your services as if it were a given by owning a 996 engine was set to expire. I didn't realize that you two have a build in mind that you've previously discussed. Good luck with the build I'm sure it will be amazing. And sorry again for jumping to the conclusion.
I couldn't agree more, but then I may be a bit biased.

Maybe assume less in the future? Maybe mind your business a little more? If not, you may end up being the exact "douche" that you make the other guy out to be~ This crap makes me mad enough to spit nails!
The old foot in mouth syndrome strikes again!

That is one fine rear end. Congrats!
Thanks Strath. I cannot lie. I like big butts...
Is it for sure, done deal? Don't want to risk jinxing it if not.
Quotes source post: 16245739
Is what a done deal?
Is it in your possession or is the deal still in process? I always wonder if the car is mine until I actually have it in the garage and titled

Paperwork is signed. Waiting on the truck.

Congrats, youll love it and I share your logic with regards to FSI amortized over the life of the car. Please share more pix when shes home!
Congratulations man! Having a 4S with an FSI will make this quite an impressive car!
Car arrived this morning. Did a quick 20 mile drive. This thing is like a Lexus compared to my 99 C2! Also, the torque bump from 3.4 to 3.6 feels huge. Big big difference. The C4S is def too quiet, but thatll be fixed on Dec 14th when it goes to Fister for new cans. Cant even imagine how itll feel when it goes to Jake for the 4.0L next fall 🤘
"But...It goes to eleven..."
