Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 99 was originally equipped with a CDR210. But a lot of 99s I see have CR/CDR220s. Is it an early build thing? When did production switch over to the newer unit? I'm sure the Boxster was effected at the same time G

POST 2Original post

I was wondering the same thing. My 996 with a 7/98 build date has the CDR210.

POST 3Original post

Maybe it was an option? I have a MY99 with a build date of 12/98. It's equipped with at CR220 (Cassette/Radio) and a frunk-mounted CD Changer.

My late 98 build also "had" the 220....minus the CD changer

POST 5Original post

I have a 98' Boxster with a CDR210 they are awesome looking compared to the 220 IMO

POST 6Original post

I had a CR-22. Looks similar to the 220, but when the front drops there is a cassette player instead of a CD player.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The CDR22/CR22 and CDR21/CR21 were the Euro versions I believe Which have different signals. American version just added a zero at the end and D meant CD player. CR were just cassettes.

Never really used it. hahaha I don't really care much for radio in these cars anyway. I prefer the Flat 6 music. I do have the 220 now. It's a decent radio, but again, I just like driving if you get my drift.
