Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is there an adjustment that doesn't require major surgery?

POST 2Original post

Google "adjusting Porsche 996 windows and you will find many videos and articles/links on this. Some can be done by removing plugs on the bottom of the doors, some require that you remove the door panels. If they are not off by much the one through the bottom of the door should do it. Are you sure the problem is not a bad microswitch?

POST 3Original post

Are you sure the issue isn’t that it’s not going down when the door opens? Seems more likely, especially if this is a new development.

POST 4Original post

None of the adjustments need major surgery, and the height ones need nothing more than an e6 socket and an extension (and you have to remove 2 rubber plugs in the bottom of the door to access the screws) but this would be a strange problem unless you just put a new window regulator in. What is the symptom?
