Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Been here before but login is lost. I was at the old shop where I used to work the other day and there's two air cooled 911's, and a cayenne. one 911 is lifted with rally style lights, what you could call trail tires, a creative livery of graphics, brands, and colors all over the car. The other 911 is primo. Kindof a metallic grey. But it won't start. All the porsche guys are gathered scratching their heads trying to figure it out. I casually walk up to them and mention to the gentleman in the car, "I know what you're probably thinking right now, boy, I sure wish I had a 996" a moment of silence then hysterical laughter from one guy there, standing towards the back of the car. A few chuckles from another guy standing infront of the car, but the owner pretended not to notice me and kept trying to crank his car, and said a few words under his breath which I could not hear over the rush of cars driving by. I don't think I turned him into a 996 guy. Atleast I tried

Porsche jokes? No way! I had a friend who (jokingly) told me, "what's the difference between a Porsche and a porcupine? With a porcupine, the ****** on the outside". Somehow, I forgave her.
