Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

17 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I got tired of sore elbows...so I had the armrests in the door and center console re-upholstered with 3/8 padding...red of course...Ahhhh..like my lexus now!

POST 2Original post

Looks nice...Very bright! How much did it run you?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

$150 including the custom ordered leather. The padding is the best part!

POST 4Original post

Damn! that is very inexpensive for all that work and leather. Very nice. Just enough to look sweet but not overdone to look tacky.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Dell. It looks nice in person as well. I couldn't believe the prices and the quality of the work was top notch (when I arrived the owner had his P-car and a nice MB in the shop...so I felt better).

POST 7Original post

If you had the blue interior you could take 3D pics of your car... wait let me get my 3D glasses!! I actually rest my elbow on first lip near the top of the door, I would love to put a new leather piece there with that memory foam you find in pillows... that would be sweet.

POST 9Original post

only $150 .....is it real leather or pleather?!?!

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Real excellent quality leather (better than OEM leather).

POST 13Original post

What kind of place did the work? P-shop or an upholstery shop? Looks great with the seats BTW

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The place was called Award Auto Trim (that is their website too). Thanks all!

POST 15Original post

Wow, I thought I was theonly one with a sore left elbow...... I was thinking black duct tape and bubble wrap for mine?.........Nice solution and i wish I fit in those cool GT3 seats! Thanks for sharing! Steve

POST 16Original post

your hand should be on the wheel...and than the elbows are in the air!! enough with that Sunday elbow resting driving....... I wish I knew a upholsterer in my area...because for $150 bucks I would do the same!!

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Agreed, and when I'm getting on it...both hands are on the wheel. There are times in a long journey where an old guy like me needs to rest though
