A feathered friend came from nowhere and whacked into front left headlight assembly. Its must have hit the little triangular corner (amber) lense directly as it popped right out and flew off somewhere. Does anyone know where to get a cheap one as Porsche wants big$$$$ ($106 Australian Dollars) for it. I have a 98 996 Thanks, Jason

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Have you tried your local wrecking yards? eBay? It may end up costing that much after shipping,. etc. from the States.
It's something like a $20-30 part here in the states and according to your dealer they want about $80 USD. I can't imagine shipping being that much to Oz. Try eBay and inquire about shipping and like SLAAW said try a local salvage yard.
EBAY - lots of deals but it does take time.
I paid US $35 for my right corner (with hole for headlight washer) that flew off at 168 mph (oops. did I say that outloud!) from Panama, Central America. I did have to wait nearly a month for it...
Thanks guys- I was looking on the Pelican Parts site, they have the amber lenses for $17.50, but their out of stock. I then noticed they have the clear ones in stock- do they fit? I don't think they would look too bad as the lense would border both the amber and clear parts of the headlight assembly. What do you guys think? Cheers, Jason
