Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just a heads up, this car has been in an accident (rear impact). The seller did not note this on his craigslist posting, but informed me after multiple txt's. I don't want to have him waste others time. Add is below.... https://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/c...991790632.html

I hate that he didn't disclose that, because I feel like it's a nice one thats been taken care of. He should have just mentioned it up front.

I've never understood people that try to hide stuff, I've always prided myself on being an honest and upfront seller. I've bought and sold so many cars it would be more trouble than its worth to hide things.

I totally agree. If I had a car that had a accident on the Carfax, then I'd put that into the description or at least post images of the Carfax report. That alone saves someone $30 paying for a Carfax report. Porsches, like a lot of sports cars, usually have many owners and so it's impossible to know everything about the car's history. Lots of stuff doesn't show up on a car report; therefore, it's always wise to have a PPI or at least ask a lot of questions and inspect it in person. It something is not right, then walk away.

I've been shopping for a used CPO BMW commuter car the past few months. Dealers won't disclose anything until you do some investigative research and call them out on it. Everything from Lemon buy back titles, to accidents etc. It's buyer beware out there for sure. Additionally, regarding carfax reports, I have a Grand Cherokee that I've owned from new. It shows an accident and 3 owners on the carfax, which is wildly innacurate. The real story is, I was bumped in a parking lot with no damage to the vehicle but police were called and a report was written. The car needed no repair and has never had paintwork yet accident shows up on the report. And regarding the 3 owners, I purchased the car when living in SC #1 owner, Moved to GA #2 owner, finished paying the car off in GA #3 owner. It's wild what those reports come up with, so I wouldn't take everything they say as being actual fact. The owner not disclosing doesn't really mean anything IMO. If he denied it and you discovered something then yes that is shady, but most vehicles out there have had some sort of paintwork, bumper etc. If you asked and he confirmed, seems pretty honest to me. I'm not sure you can expect perfection from a sub 30k premium sports car.
