Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showt...hreadid=214377 Can anyone tell me if this is a stainless sport exhaust for a 996 or just a stainless exhaust for a 996? Also, if you know what car this cat bypass is for, I would appreciate it. Thanks Len

POST 2Original post

That looks OEM - simply cleaned. Can't tell if it's sport or not. Chad

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is dansk the OEM supplier? Thanks Len

POST 4Original post

Some older P-cars yes. Not sure on the 996. I don't have my PET with me, but if I'm not mistaken the 996 part number start with 996.xxx.xxx.xxx Pretty sure that may be an exhaust for a 993 or 964. I may be mistaken. Chad

POST 5Original post

i think it's einmann for the 996 at leaset that's what it says on my PSE

POST 7Original post

That is a standard exhaust muffler for the older 3.4 engine. You can tell by the caps where the sport exhaust bypass pipe goes. The 3.6 Mufflers have recessed caps on them. These mufflers are not for 3.6 engines. BTW, all of the 996 mufflers polish up real nice.

POST 8Original post

Dansk makes sport mufflers for the 996 that have an identicle stamped box as shown. So, yes they could very well be Dansk sport mufflers for a 996. Gillet and Eisenmann are also OEM suppliers.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks All. Yes they are Dansk 996 Sport Mufflers. Much appreciated. Also now on ebay. Search for Len928 and look at items selling. Thanks Len
