Just picked up a couple of GT3 seats which should be here tommorow. I've been driving with the stock seat in the lowest position to get accustomed to the lower view. 1- Anyone know how much lower than stock (at the lowest position) the GT3 seats lower you? And I plan to return the stock seats when going on long trips and when the cold weather returns. I was motivated to get the GT3 seats because my understanding is that this is the best option to quickly return the car to stock coniditon. 2- Can the wiring be quickly reconnected to the stock seats when the GT3 seats go into winter storage?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. you can switch them back and forth quickly but really no need. the gt3 seat is actually more comfy for long trips than oem seat for me. yes, it does lower you more than oem seats, but you will adj to that difference very quick.
hmm.. lower than the lowest stock position? this might be a problem, my legs aren't short its my short torso. Maybe I'll fab up a cushion and have it reupholstered to match the seat. Anyone have any experience with Porsche leather? Got to get down to Sears and git me a Torx wrench set. Hopefully I'll be able to connect the wiring without causing an electrical mishap.
i believe brey krausse makes a bracket for the GT3 seat that frees up a few more millimeters.
I'm a little guy, I think the BK Bracket is for taller guys looking to pass the broom stick test. I'm in the "needing a child seat" for the driver category. (But my GF is tall!)
I don't think its much lower than my sport seat with the lowered seat option. Either way it should not be a problem to get the seat bottom reuphostered with a thicker cushion. What you are wanting is an E12 reverse torx driver... I think. A regular socket will also work but not fit as tightly. The wire harness is not difficult. Just make sure the seatbelt wire is oriented correctly into the harness and secured in place BEFORE you put the key in the ignition.
The height difference is minimal (maybe 1/2"). I measured it recently for Chad and posted it here. Do a search.
