Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Close to pulling the trigger and these are the two cars: 01 C4 cab with 50,000 miles 4 new tires CPO warranty (1 year left) brand new clutch partial aero kit $39,500 00 C4 Cab with 28,000 miles Tires good but not new I will have to buy the warranty Full Aero kit $42,500 The 00 is in slightly better condition (less stone chips, etc.). If i buy the 01 I'll paint it in the spring. I will drive about 12K a year so I like the fact that the 00 has less miles. I am looking at value at the end of 3 or 4 years. What would an 01 with 86K be worth versus an 00 with 64K?

POST 2Original post

You are only talking 3k difference, so its not even an issue imho. Go with the car you like best, and forget about the "Better Deal". If you want full aero, go with the 00, because trying to take a partial aero to "full aero" is pretty expensive (for factory parts). If you dont care about full aero, then personally I would go with the 01 with new shoes, warranty, new clutch, etc. The difference in mileage really doesnt matter because both have good mileage for their years, although the 00 is exceptionally low. POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think the deals are comparable as well i was more interested in what most people would rather have. A new car with more miles or an older one with less.

POST 5Original post

If thats the critera then new car with more miles. Only because the mileage isnt bad. If we were talking 01 with 98k miles or a 00 with 27k miles, it might make a difference to me. But 50k miles on a 01 is a nice amount, and the fact it has that says it hasnt spent its life in the shop. The new shoes are a plus too. This is just my opinion.

POST 6Original post
