Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Plain & Simple: Need lead to Rennlist type forum advise for Cadillac. For my Father in Law. Wife believes me to be a complete slackard because I can't sort out his problems with '95 ElDorado (this car will cruise all day at 100mph). I'm getting that look from her and it isn't pleasant. Any leads to sage advise appreciated. I really don't like that look. Regards. Stilton

I think you can get to a forum thru www.cadillac.com , or if not do a GOOGLE search on 'Cadillac Forums' That should do it.

POST 3Original post

I was curious. So I did a search. Here's one. Interesting read. Caddy's

POST 4Original post

LOL, best forum in the world happens to be a Cadillac forum. (Sorry Rennlist). Cadillacforums.com This forum is unbelievably good. Remember, I owned a CTS-V before this car.

POST 5Original post

I saw a 1982-83 Coupe de Ville today, in fact, in light cream with the original wire wheels, beautiful landau roof, buttondown cream leather seats and an intact hood ornament. Wonderful old lady driving it - they don't make 'em like that any more, those doors are freaking huge!

POST 6Original post

Arrogant, I've kicked around the idea of a CTS-V (for the 4door sport sedan itch) but haven't really talked to any owners. What was your take on the it? In particular what was reliability like? Any major issues with the car? Also why'd you get rid of it? Thanks, Keith

POST 7Original post

Go drive one!!! I got rid of it, simply because I wanted a 911. So I sold it off, along w/ my boxster S to get the 911 of my dreems. I miss the raw power of the V, it's amazing, the 911 isn't close. It's an amazing car but has alot of weaknesses. They rear differential being the top. The car has excessive wheel-hop and if you don't watch those hard launches, you can/will blow up the rear-D. This is why it's almost impossible to get it from not to 60 in under 5. Trust me and get an account over at Cadillacforums.com Introduce yourself and tell them that I sent you over from Rennlist. You will be amazed by the members over there!! PS for an extra $5 to 8k you will be putting 520BPH to the rear-wheels. That Corvette Z06, LS6/LS2 is an amazing engine!!!
