I am a member of benzworld, but that site doesn's require any fee. Here at Rennlist, I just paid for 2 year membership for $32 since I already received so much info from the experts here. I paid so that I can contribute to this site being able to stay as is. What other real benefits are there to this membership? Is it pretty much a contribution other than some discount off Rennlist T-shirts, etc? Cheers

You can also post in the OT board. In reality, though, the real benefit is that the contribution helps keep the site running. You can be a cynic and say that benzworld doesn't need contributions to keep running, so why rennlist? To be honest, I don't know why. But, the fee is small enough, I don't really care., and it helps feel part of the community. Welcome!
This site has about 65,000 members. It looks like most members are in the U.S. P car ownership is more exclusive than MB's. Benzworld probably has many times more members since members are from all over the world. Having been a publisher at one time in college, I know that more people mean more ad dollars. Anyway, I am glad I found this site among other P owners.

Over at my old board, cadillacforums.com, I gladly payed $20 for 6 months or $38 for a year. It's MUCH cheaper here. I honestly think paying this small fee get's you respect and makes you a true member. I personally think anyone who benifits from being here, should contribute monitarily. I personally look at people who pay as serious members here. Others, not as much. Not sure wat else you want your $1.30 per month to do for you, other than what I have stated.
