I put my sideskirts on this week and was looking forward to showing them off all weekend. Then on Friday a deep sidewalk gutter swallowed my car and punctured a hole in my oil sump cover. So I spent today doing this. Well, at least I have Sunday to show off the new skirts. I guess a skidplate will be on order soon to save me from future unscheduled oil changes.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I visit Sac quite a bit to see family. Where did this happen? Sorry to see your beautiful car damaged.
I was visiting a friend on 51st Street by Folsom Blvd. A tree root had pushed the sidewalk up at the end of his driveway making the gutter even deeper than normal. The sound of concrete hitting metal that hard is horrible. I didn't even realize how bad I had hit the pan until I got home and saw that an oil puddle was rapidly growing under my car. I guess I'm lucky considering 300 bucks in parts and oil + a day wrenching put me back in the saddle.
Congrats on the skirts, she looks beautiful, too bad about the oil pan...OUCH!! Next time have the friend visit you...
your lucky all the oil didn't drain out before you got home or that 300 dollars would have been a lot higher. Now Im thinking about getting that engine guard. Bobby
