Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just thinking about some suspension upgrades and was wondering how difficult the struts and swaybars are to remove from the 996 for the do-it-yourselfer? Has anyone seen any good how-tos anywhere. I just did my Mini and there were a plethora of instructions online.

POST 2Original post

I place some instructions on this board. Do a search of M030 install I placed it in March 04.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you. Just what I was looking for. I think coilovers and GT3 sway bars might be in my future. It can't be any harder than my Mini. The front/driver side was a bit tricky and the rear sway bar required loosening and lowering the entire rear subframe. That liitle car's gonna be the death of me, but boy it's a blast to drive now. Just for comparison, a set of 4 springs for the Mini cost $279. That car is cheap fun. Piece out.

POST 5Original post

A 911 that has those changes to the suspension (ie Pss9s, or H&R coilovers, GT3 or H&R adjustable sways)...... should have corner balance and all-wheel alignment as part of the project.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Agreed. That goes without stain.
