Just a quick question. Does anyone know the braking speed of the 996 911 versus the E46 M3? Having just come from an M3, the brakes feel very different, and I wanted to know what the performance of the brakes were side by side.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

M3 has a suprising 112 feet to 0 from 60 where as the porsche has 119 feet, although you wont find much fade in the porsche brakes after repeated use
After driving the 911 for a while and hoping back into the M3, the M3's brakes felt much more "touchier."
that's pretty much a bmw thing, they seem to just GRABBBB, when you lightly hit them , my wifes MCoupe was the same way
