Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know whether the brakes of a 2002 Turbo (AWD) would work for a 2002 Carrera (RWD)? I have a friend who is upgrading his turbo brakes and selling his stock brakes.

POST 2Original post

I think they should. I got Turbo brakes on my 996 C2 Cab from 2000.

POST 3Original post

you will need new wheel carriers, you will add appx 25 to 30 extra lbs of unsprung weight, and outside of reduced fade (of which you have nearly zero now) there is no braking performance increase.

POST 4Original post

yeah, just skip this mod. it doesn't do anything for you!
