Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Mine leaked @ 17,000 miles
When I picked up my C2 6 weeks ago the salesman pointed to a stack of crates of transmissions commenting that if it popps out of second gear it gets a new one of 'those' and if the engine leaks it gets a new one of 'those' over there, no fuss no problem, half the time the customer isn't even aware of a problem and came in for routine stuff, they change it out just because its a Porsche and you're important to them. well, that was a salesman but it sounds pretty good
my 03 started leaking at 2000 miles
a 99 i saw had rms leak after 200 miles (1st month of ownership)
i'd feel a lot more important if they got it right the first time. boy, porsche's attitude is getting to feel like a bad love relationship and they're making me feel like i'm the one that's in denial... ps--porsche's new slogan should read: "can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em"
I've got 3000 miles so far in the month I've owned it . . . no oil drops on the garage floor yet. Sean
My 99 started at 28,000. Not so bad considering what I have read about others.
My 02 996 C2 started at around 13.5K, the dealer found it on my first service after the car was 1 year old.
