Are the RMS problems with the 3.6L M96 engine also prevalent with the Turbo/GT-3 engines as well ? I am thinking that maybe I should trade up my 2002 C4S to a Turbo or new GT-3. Thunder

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

that being said, i've been reading some other topics about the RMS and they say that there's lots of people in the turbo forum complaining about RMS problems.
I understand that the 993 engine had RMS issues, too. So it might not be just the 996/Boxster.
The 993 does not suffer from a RMS problem. This is not say there are no reported cases of RMS problems, however the ones that exist seem very isolated.
