Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anybody feel that 225 in the front is too narrow? Can I put 235 on the front with the same rim? When accelerating I get some understeer and during hard braking the abs switches on early. I figure with more surface area during braking I will get more traction. I know C2's are light in the front. Would it make a noticable difference? Any disadvantages? I have 285 in the back all factory rims & tyres. Car also has ROW030.

POST 3Original post

if u got 285/35 on the back, u can go up to 245/40 or 255/40 on the fronts on 9 in rim.

POST 4Original post

While one could install 235 tires on an 8" rim, the full benefits can be had with an 8.5" or 9" rim. These will help spread the tread much better than an 8" wheel.

POST 5Original post

Keyvan, are you noticing all these while on the track or street driving? I've noticed those problems only on the track with crummy Conti Sports. No problems with R compound or slicks. Street driving, well, we have the speed limit laws here so, I of course, never speed ;-)
