For 2003: "Porsche finally puts a standard CD player in the 911. Five horsepower are mysteriously lost in non-Turbo 911s, meaning output is "only" 315 horses now. " Is that true? What's up with that?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Not sure about the CD player, but the 5hp difference could be the conversion loss from SAE to DIN (or the other way around).
No, it's a case of "bad press". CD is std, engine & drivetrain are unchanged. J
Standard radio was with cassette player even with PCM)option 662). You could order option 696 which was a radio with cd player for $350, but that conflicted with PCM which only came with cassette. You could order the 6 disk remote cd changer for $715 (option 692), or as part of the advanced technic package (option P05-a $3445 option) So they were right, no standard cd player for 02. How "Porsche" is that!
