Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Check this crazy thing out, 100mph sports car, 30 mph boat, all in one.... http://www.aquada.co.uk

POST 2Original post

Where are the cleats for rope use at the dock???

POST 3Original post

Thanks for the link, very cool ! On the lake on which we reside, somebody owns an Amphicar. I believe they were built in the 1960's (Germany?). He only takes it out in calm water. It sits so low in the water it looks as if it could swamp fairly easily. Fairly slow, however, there's no way you could get it up on plane like the "Aquada". The info. for the Aquada claims you can even pull a water skiier !

POST 4Original post

From the web I've probably looked at every amphibious vehicle ever made, and other than this one, 100% of them have been slow in the water as well as unseaworthy. If this works out so it could be licensed on the road in the US it would be a real milestone, and might even transform commuting for a lot of us in cities like Seattle where everything is separated by water. I have to say, however, that I'll believe it when I see it as it still looks like something too good to be true (or affordable)...

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As far as affordability, fuggedaboutit, i think I read in a related article, that the car would be ferrari/bentley priced, somewhere around $230k If you look on the site, you'll notice that there are NO DOORS, you kinda do a Duke of Hazard to get in, thereby eliminating possibility of leaks. Also, in all the photos there does not seem to be a roof. I would imagine there is, but there are no pics of it with the roof up...
