Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone know where I can get black lug nuts for my car? I bought a set of 18" Sports Classis Wheels that are black and the silver lug nuts look silly... Thanks! SPT

POST 2Original post

The dealer, Tire Rack, Discount Tire or any wheel shop. Just not sure you can get black BUT you could either paint them or have them coated. Just mask off the threads prior to coating.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Dealer and tire rack had none for the car. Boothedesign.com has them. I will go to the local wheel shop tomorrow... Who coats lug nuts and wheels? I'm in NH. Thanks SPT

POST 4Original post

Look up coaters in your local yellow pages. If you can't find one, call a performance shop and ask them if they know of someone who does powder coating or anodizing.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

THanks! I will try that tomorrow...

POST 6Original post

Just to let you know...Anodizing looks nice but will wear off if you take the lugs on and off. Powder coating will do the same but is more durable and easier to repair. I would suggest letting them know what you want done and ask what they would use to get the desired results you're looking for. Good luck!

POST 7Original post

Don't know if this applies but on my VW, it came with black plastic caps that cover the lug nuts. Maybe this will work? Might want to drop by the local VW dealer and see if they'll give you some.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Black caps would work as well! I'll check it out... Thanks!

POST 9Original post

Good thinking! My Audi had them too. If the Porsche is a 17mm hex, they'll fit.

POST 10Original post

Hey SPT! I'll trade you for them! My 99 has black lug nuts {from the factory I beleive} and I'd like the silver ones. Want to trade?? This of course includes the 4 lock nuts with key.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sure! send me an email at [email removed] and we can work out the details... Are they painted or powder coated? Thanks, SPT
