Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

What model year?
1999 996.
Unless it's gonna be your garage queen I wouldn't pay extra for a very low mileage example, if it is going to be driven regularly.
$45k for a 9k old 996? That sounds pretty good to me.....
There were several TSB's for the earlier edition 996's. Make sure they were attended to. Otherwise, what's holding you back? GO FOR IT!!!
Options, condition, Carfax, C2 or C4, coupe or cab, service records? Low mileage does not necessarily mean it is a good car. It could have been a theft recovery, rebuilt, salvage title, flood car. Sad to say the price is probably right for a lightly optioned 99 C2 coupe. My $.02...
Thanks everyone. This is a good friend's car. He doesn't drive it at all thus the low mileage. I know that car inside and out. No accidents except the daughter denting it with the other car's door. Thanks again.
Dude, If you know the car then it's a no brainer. Go for it! Join the wasser crowd.
My concerns would be: - Is the car still under warranty? Probably not for a 99. - If not, make sure major issues like the rear main seal have been fixed. Otherwise, that would be very expensive.
Thanks AC. Unfortunately he's not going to make the quantum leap into a TT. Oh well. At least I'm in Porshce-ville. Thanks and Take care.
[QUOTE][i] No accidents except the daughter denting it with the other car's door. Does he miss his daughter now?
