Hi All, I am installing the litronics kit in a 1999 996 without the front washers. The instructions state that one needs to tap into the BK/YE wire with the BK/RE Litronic wire - section 2.2 in the Porsche tech document.. Since I don't have this option I don't have these wires... I did see a 2 wire plug with a red-black and a yellow-brown wire. Any suggestions? TIA Ray Bahr

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi All, I figured out that they are talking about the windshield washer pump not the headlight washer... Ray
I have put in 2 litronic kits. You tap into the black wire with the yellow stripe that goes to the passenger side heated windshield washers. It is hot whenever the key is on and that is where the control unit gets its power from. You can see the wire in my fuzzy picture which has been removed from the connector, as I have a pin removal tool. We also shot a video of one of the installs. Jeff
