POST 2Original post

Seal Gray is defintiely one of my favorites, but if you wanna be different, go for the SY! Here's a pic of my SY C4S. POST 3Original post

sorry to say this... silver or seal gray all the way ! u'll never be tired of looking at it, if u're not now. hey everyone, i was gonna say Zanzibar Red but i couldn't find it anymore in porsche website. they take it out?? IMO, that's the hottest color especially on TT!

POST 4Original post

Go for the SY. I am a bit bias though. The C4S

POST 5Original post

I like Zanzibar Red as well. Anyone have a picture?

POST 7Original post

Seal Grey is my choice, look at my page and see for yourself.

POST 8Original post

I think I've decided on getting Seal Gray with Boxster Red interior on my next 996, but there are so many nice combo's out there.

POST 9Original post

boxster red with seal grey? i guess im not a big fan of red interiors. one of my neighbors has an sl55 with a red/red combo, very nice i have to say. why dont u go red/red and just be really different with yellow stitching and yellow seat belts, ceramic brakes. okay maybe a little extreme, but hey its just an opinion.

POST 10Original post

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what I want. Although I think the boxster red looks best with artic silver, but I don't want another AS car. IMO, boxster red looks much better in person than in any pictures.

POST 11Original post

what about boxster red with carrera white exterior? white is a really nice exterior color.

POST 12Original post

What about Midnight Blue , with same colour painted wheels, and cinnamon leather?

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That blue with leather sounds nice, where can I find an image of this combo? What about the other blues?

POST 14Original post

Two words...Guards Red! I had a Seal Gray Boxster and wanted the C4S in Seal Gray, but my used red one was 17K cheaper than a new one and had only 4K miles. I have since fallen for the red...it really makes the car look spectacular.

POST 15Original post

Speed Yellow. SPEED YELLOW!! I have full Graphite Grey, Natural Grey carpet (dark grey), SY sport seat backs/console. Looks HOT HOT HOT!! I'm shopping for a digital camera this weekend, gotta post some pics. (Any suggestions on micro-sized 4-ish MP w/ zoom?) Oh, and SPEED YELLOW!! -DT

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Dirk, I gather you are partial to SY. A good 4mp camera would be the canon g series but if you want real compact try the minolta dimage f100 or f300. Even smaller would be the casio 3.2mp with zoom. First two would be best choices. By the way does anyone feel they are targeted by police based on color of car driven. ..just curious.

POST 18Original post

mumanoff, As I've said here before, I really wouldn't want to collect sufficient data to draw a conclusion on ext color vs police targetting. -DT

POST 19Original post

Slate Grey Metallic with dark tan leather sport seats and black carpets Alcantara headliner, and body colored center console and seat backs. springs/shocks, Fabspeeds, and airbox mod.

POST 20Original post

I saw a nice combo on a black convertable. It was Basalt Black wit boxter red interior. HAd black devieting carpets and sticking so the red wasn't too bad. I'm not o fan of red interiors, b ut this combo looked hot!!!!

POST 21Original post

Honestly, I believe that Cobalt blue with Black or grey leather is stunning. Its a little lighter than LeMans Blue on BMWs but looks twice as good on a Porsche. Go figure! Here is a site that can configure many factory color combinations: http://www.whiteson.org/boxster/gallery/

POST 22Original post

Mumanoff Can't find pic of midnight blue, co-ordinated wheels plus cinnamon leather - but my dealer had a Targa specced that way - and it looked the dog's proverbials.

POST 23Original post

Zenith Blue Met...IMHO the king of different as far as Porsche colors go. POST 24Original post

cobalt blue and zenith blue look similar to me. What is the difference between the 2? I really want to get a blue porsche, but I have heard cobalt looks purple in person and I do not want a real dark blue. What do you guys think about lapis blue?

POST 25Original post

Mumanoff: what about Black-black? Anyone has pics with this combo?

POST 26Original post

If you're married or real tight with a girl I would suggest you consult with her. Sometimes "they" prefer like a neutral color, ie Black, AS, SG etc. so whatever color they wear will "go" with the car. AS would be my choice, of course. Oops...sorry for the size.

POST 28Original post

Here is a picture of P-Cars belonging to two of my friends next to each other. The 996 is Cobalt and the Boxster is Zenith. Sorry my hosting service converts the 1600x1200 pic to a small one. I can e-mail it if you need it.

POST 29Original post

Cobalt blue is quite dark. Zenith Blue is much brighter. IMHO Zenith Blue is drop dead gorgeous. I personally don't like the traditional Silver and Guards Red colours. Speed Yellow is my next choice or maybe Champagne Silver. But Beleive Me Zenith Blue is very eye catching.

I get more eye catches and questions about this color than any color in have ever owed any Porsche in (Arctic Silver, Black/Black, Garnet Red, Guards Red). It seems that women give it the most most attention and ask what color it is. At night Zenith blue has a tendancy to look purplish blue as it passes under street lights...very nice effect. Zenith Blue is a sweet color. To bad Porsche only paints it as custom on 996 now. When I am ready to purchase my new Porsche I will also have it done in Zenith Blue. POST 31Original post

As I am planning on buying my first pcar in the near future, this whole color thing has me nuts. I have not seen zenith in person, but I would luv too. I have seen cobalt blue in person and I loved it except that I think the purple hue it has would get me nuts eventhough I really dont notice it except under certain light people say. What is your opinion on Lapis Blue I would really appreciate it. I know every option that I want to get except for color. All i know is it will either be black or some shade of blue.

POST 32Original post

I'm with P1CR. Seal Grey with Dark Tan (you can pick any tan you want with "Leather to Sample", black carpets and headliner. Pic of my new baby attached. http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/LeftDoorOpen.jpg
